In the heart of the Lake District, Borrowdale is one of the most beautiful places in Cumbria with easy access to superb walking and mountaineering, plus classic trad climbing all from the campsite.
For walks head for the famous Scafell Pike. The approach from Borrowdale is one of the prettiest from Seatoller or Seathwaite Farm or via Grains Gill and Ruddy Gill- a dramatic climb via the rushing water of the gill.
The Borrowdale Valley has a number of crags which are suitable for first steps on rock -Seathwaite Slabs and Wodens Face. For more of an adventure, try some of the longer mountain routes in the valley – Little Chamonix, Corvus, Gillercombe Buttress and Napes Needle are all close at hand.
I’m interested. Please let me know when youhave more details.
Thanks,
leticia
