A great base for winter mountain walking with The Old Man of Coniston and Wetherlam on the doorstep. We'll be staying at the traditional and cosy Coppermines Cottage mountaineering hut. There are 3 bunk rooms sleeping 4, 4, and 8 respectively on alpine style bunks. Heating is by electric storage heaters throughout the building  Bring wood, firelighters and matches (available from the garage in Coniston) to enjoy the wood burning stove.  https://bmasc.org.uk/cottage/

Superb ridge walking in the Brecon Beacons National Park. We've had some cracking trips to this area in the past with stunning views all day. It might be springtime walking or winter mountaineering! Come prepared. We have booked a bijou 8 places at The Star Bunkhouse, to reflect the usual level of demand in this month. Old Amersham Walk

Great day out in the Chilterns with a 5 mile walk in the fields around Old Amersham, easily accessible from central London on the Metropolitan Line or Chiltern Railway.  The walk will start at Amersham underground station and finish at a pub in New Amersham.   Looking forward to seeing you all there!
