Wasdale, home of Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain, Wastwater, the deepest lake and St Olaf's, the smallest church is the venue for this meet in the Lakes. We'll be staying at Hollins Farm campsite at Boot at the bottom of the Hardknot pass. The cost is £3 per person per night - children aged 4 and under are free. Cars cost £2 per night. We will be in a separate field opposite the "New" toilet block so arriving late is not a problem. The campsite has a web site - www.hollinsfarmcampsite.co.uk.

A new venue for pub meets, the Bread and Roses serves good food and has a garden for sitting in the hopefully warm summer sun. Situated a little way up Clapham Manor Street in Clapham. Pub Nights

If you are a prospective member then this is your chance to meet the Club. You will probably recognise us by our fleeces and a copy of this news letter lying around. See Pub Nights for upcoming venues.

Jazz evening: Thursday 16th May

Jazz Cafe, Camden. Jimmy Smith "is the leading jazz/blues hammond organ player in the world". The price is £15 per person and includes the entrance fee and a meal. If you want to go please contact Edmund.
It’s Summer (no, really)
With summer coming on, most people take the opportunity to head outdoors over the weekends instead of hanging around London to attend social events. However, a number of people hold impromptu events. If you would like to be included in these events, or host an event, please contact Edmund.

IDEAS!

Edmund Marler is the social secretary, so if you have any exciting ideas for outings, expeditions, or just plain old-fashioned get-togethers, let Edmund know. social@themmc.org.uk
