Pub Nights

Pub Meet Dirty Dicks, Bishopsgate, right by Liverpool Street Station .Next Meet 30 April. Contact Rob Johnson membership@themmc.org.uk if you are a prospective new member. This follows the monthly committee meeting so there is guaranteed to be a decent crop of old members there too. It seems to be getting more popular if the bleary eyed folk stumbling around Bishopsgate at chucking out time after the last meeting are anything to judge by

Training

People don't improve their climbing by accident. You need to practice. So if you want to up your grade, start leading or just not continue as a V.diff bumbler for the rest of your life come to the wall and practice. Fairly regular sessions are now taking place at the Westway and the Castle as follows:
Sunday afternoon at the Castle contact Simon Atkins chair@themmc.org.uk
Tuesday evening at the Westway contact Nick Kemp newsletter@themmc.org.uk
Thursday eveing at the Westway contact Simon Menzies-Conacher maverick@themmc.org.uk
Anyone wanting to climb at Guildford can contact Neville Shane doctornev@themmc.org.uk

Copy

Deadline for copy for the next newsletter is 1st May. Please send all copy to Nick Kemp at newsletter@themmc.org.uk. Some people have been complaining that the editor seems to have too much input to the newsletter. Well the reason for this is that it is very rare for anyone else to submit anything for publication. So if want to see some other writing start scribbling.

Club Library

The club has an ever expanding collection of books for use by members. These include climbing and walking guides, as well as guides to first aid, navigation, mountain weather etc. For a complete list check out the website.
