SUMMARY:French Alps - 21st June - 3rd July
DESCRIPTION:People are self-organisng for this meet. At least two groups are planning to go to Les Ecrins in the French Alps\, probably staying at the campsite in Ailefroide\, within the date range 21 June to 3 July. For those who haven’t already been it is a superb location and ideally suited to long adventurous multi-pitch sport rock routes\, short single pitch sport climbing\, Alpine hiking and a range of easier Alpine climbing routes. The walking around this corner of north Devon is great\, stretching from the rocky headland of Baggy Point at Croyde to the rugged heights of the Tors of Ilfracombe. Lovely Woolacombe beach sits beneath the surrounding hills\, offering miles of golden sand to wander along while watching surfers in action. \nWhy not try the Croyde to Baggy Point Circular Walk – you can scramble up the stegosaurus’ back of Morte Point’s wild headland\, and if you’re really lucky you might spot seals basking in small coves below. \n  \n
