DESCRIPTION:We’re staying at the very comfy and convenient George Starkey Hut in Patterdale. \nThe heated\, self catering hut has max 20 bunks available. It has a drying room and communal room with open fireplace. Bring sleeping bags and towels. Find out more about the hut here. \nCost per person for 2 nights: £28 \nPatterdale offers superb mountain walking at all levels up to winter mountaineering (if conditions are wintery enough!). Get an idea of some of the walking options from this site. \nThere is also mountain biking from the door. \nPatterdale has a small shop and nearby Glenridding has pubs and a gear shop.
