Let us know if you’re coming along. \nNon-Westway members will need to pre-book or pay on arrival. Please check their website.  \nIf you do not have your own climbing shoes\, harness or belay device you should be able to hire them from their shop. \nIf you want to Lead Climb\, we would suggest you bring your own single rope. A 30m rope would be ideal\, but any length will work. \nThis is not a training session\, but we should have experienced members on hand to observe your belaying technique if you are new to the club\, or you’d like us to observe any rusty skills post-long periods off climbing. \nImage by the Westway Climbing Centre

SUMMARY:Peak District
DESCRIPTION:This might be the first time we’ve been in the Peak District in February in a while!  \nFor our climbers\, the epicentre of gritstone will be at its peak in crisp conditions with good weather for the trad climbers and boulderers. Alternatively\, there are some limestone quarries nearby\, but no promises that they’ll be in condition!  \nIf climbing isn’t your thing\, there’s plenty of hiking to be had for adventurers and brilliant caves to explore if you are looking for something a little different. \n\nDate: Friday 28th February – Sunday 2nd March 2025\nTime: When your group can arrive.\nLocation: Carlswark Cottage – Derbyshire Pennine Club Hut – https://derbyshirepennineclub.co.uk/hut/\nOrganiser: We’re looking for one! This is a decision we will support. \n
