DESCRIPTION:A convenient location for a climbing weekend! \nThere are many sport climbing routes in the area’s former quarries\, and there are Trad climbing routes at Symonds Yat and Wintours Leap to name just a few choice spots. \nSome of these crags also offer multi-pitch climbs as well\, but worth noting that abseiling can be required on some routes. Regardless\, it’s a great place to be. \nWalks are suitable for everyone in the Wye Valley AONB – from short riverside strolls to long-distance challenges and from woodland rambles to windswept viewpoints. Offa’s Dyke is a popular one\, but you could take any route that you fancy. And if none of that has taken your fancy\, there’s a river nearby for some water sports also. \n\nDate: Friday 5th – Sunday 7th August 2022\nTime: Whenever you’re able to get free on Friday – or ideally matching your travelling group / means.\nCampsite: Beeches Farm Campsite https://beechesfarmcampsite.co.uk/\nOrganisers: Rick & Angela\nThe deadline to reserve campsite spots via us has now passed. Any members deciding to attend at the last minute must email the chair@themmc.org.uk and meets@themmc.org.uk so you can tell us you’d like to join the meet (we cannot guarantee car space now) and you’ll need to book yourself a spot at the campsite (above link). You can tell campsite that you’re a late joiner with the club so you’re paying separately.\n\nCome along and have some fun. If the weather is great\, we usually try to eat and hang out at the campsite!
