Ariege 12th – 21st June

This is a member organised meet to the South of France. Everything from beautiful walking and excellent quality single and multi-pitch sport climbing is avaialable! It promises to be a great last minute summer trip.
This place as got it all!
Whether you are an experienced rock climber wanting long multi or testing single pitch sports routes. There are even some routes longer than a kilometer in length for the fit!
Or a beginner wanting to cut their lead climbing teeth on some amenable sports routes.
Or a walker wanting choice between spectacular valley walks or heading up the nearest incline for some beautiful views – there is even via ferrata for the adventurous.
Bring your boulder matt, bring your mountain bike, bring your canoe!
We’ll be staying in the heart of the Midi-Pyenees at a campsite near Dent d’Orlu.
The spar town Ax-les-Thermes has everything you may wish for and more – just a mere 3 miles up the road.
The campsite charges roughly €6 a night, is right buy a river, and is visited by a bakery van every morning.
Don’t miss out!
Easiest way to get there is to fly to Toulouse or Carcassonne, from there it’s about one and a half hours drive. Let me know what flight you have booked and I put you contact with others arriving at the same time, this will make it easier to arrange hire cars, you will need one to get the most out of the area.
But if you want to pack your camping chair and boulder matt you’ll want to drive.
From Calais this is about 9 hours ( according to google anyway )
BA is doing reasonable prices at the moment to Toulouse from Heathrow so best get in quick!
Did I mention Carcassonne?
A beautifully preserved medival walled town worth the flights by it self.
Time’s a ticking!
