Otherwise known as Southern Sandstone, which is the local name for the Ardingly Sandstone of southeast England, a soft sandstone of Cretaceous age separating the Tunbridge Wells Sands from the overlying Grinstead Clay.
OK, it’s Bowles Rocks! A great spot for people of all ages and abilities to climb, with convenient onsite facilities and parking. Experienced climbers will be on hand to set up top roped routes for everyone to have a go on.

Time (Public Transport): London Bridge 09:07 train to Eridge OR London Charing Cross 09:15 train to Tunbridge Wells and taxi from there.
Time (Private Transport): Please aim to arrive at around 10:30.

Caveats: There may be last minute changes as a result of bad weather, as climbing on the soft sandstone in anything other than good/dry conditions is very damaging to the rock.
