The last camping meet of the year. We’re staying in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales at the comfortable Dalesbridge campsite – near Austwick, Settle.
Walkers have plenty of options from easy to highly challenging (the 24 mile route over the three local peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent in under 12 hours is a popular challenge!).
The limestone climbing in the Yorkshire Dales has traditionally been associated with some of the hardest sport routes put up in the UK such as at Malham Cove. Things have changed. The area is now increasingly associated with newly-developed low to mid-grade sport crags such as Moughton Nab and Giggleswick South and easier trad areas.
Other activities include mountain biking (both XC and the purpose built trails of Gisburn Forest) and visiting Yorkshire’s renowned pubs and villages.
