We stayed in Little Langdale at the small but well appointed Fylde MC hut.  The pre-meet chat was all about snow – but there wasn’t any!  However, the weather was cool and dry and excellent for walking and scrambling.

On Saturday nearly everyone (Harry, David, Paolo, Oscar, Daniel, Nick, Vic, Anna, and Ollie) did an enchainment devised by Harry including the “Matterhorn of Easedale” Belles Knot and Jack’s Rake on Pavey Ark. They even managed to get some very casual bouldering in!

The route was picturesque, as you’ll see:

Caroline and Dave Faff did a superb walk over Crinkle Crags. We couldn’t locate any photos for their walk! They were simply enjoying themselves that much. 😁

Dinners were split between excellent home cooking and the Three Shires Inn.

On Sunday Harry, David, Paolo, Anna, Caroline, Vic and Oscar did an ascent of grade 3* Pinnacle Ridge of Sunday Crag.  The conditions were cool and misty so not really optimal but an exciting time was had.  Harry, David, Paolo and Oscar carried on over Helvellyn and Striding Edge.

Ollie and Daniel went climbing on Middlefell Buttress in Langdale doing the S4a alternative start.  This was a very good effort in cold and cloudy conditions.  Nick went for a hike along the Cumbrian Way and Dave went to Scotland.

It was a great little meet.  No winter but great things were done. Thanks to Christine for organising.
