We’re holding our AGM on the meet, at the YHA, and we’ll be offering our customary free drink to everyone who attends. We’ll try to keep it short but have some updates for you and are keen to hear your views again.

  • Some of us are planning a walk with long and medium length options circumnavigating Castleton on the spectactular Great Ridge Path from Lose Hill to Hollins Cross and Mam Tor and going on to Eldon Hill for the longer version. Take in the magnificent views across Edale to Kinder Scout and from the top of Mam Tor you’ll have a spectacular panorama of the Peak District.
  • The grit stone is a short drive away and as we all know, the friction is better in the cold weather!
  • Kinder Scout is close by for those keen to reach the highest point in the area. Blue John Caverns and Peveril Castle offer  touristy diversions.
