The first camping meet of the year. This year we’ve booked 12 places at the Snowden Base Camp.

The campsite overlooks Cwellyn Lake and has spectacular uninterrupted views towards Mount Snowdon and Mynydd Mawr with various forestry walks on it’s doorstep. The river Gwyrfai runs alongside both camping fields to Cwellyn Lake.

The amenity block is open 24/7 and is located on the first field near the main carpark. It has underfloor heating, free power showers and toilets, with hand soap and body lotion, vanity units with heated mirrors, drinking water fountain, coin operated electric sockets and hairdryer.

The Campsite entrance is approx. ½ mile from Cwellyn Arms pub.

This is a great meet for both climbers and walkers.  North Wales’s mountains, crags and sea cliffs offer some world class venues for rock climbing, scrambling and mountaineering.
