Baggy Point is a popular climbing venue and best known for its south facing promontories with lovely slab routes on sandstone with good friction.

A mid-range climber’s slab paradise, there are lots of friendly, well protected slab climbs mostly in the Severe to E2 range with easy access.

If walking is more your thing then look no further. The walking around this corner of north Devon is great, stretching from the rocky headland of Baggy Point at Croyde to the rugged heights of the Tors of Ilfracombe. Lovely Woolacombe beach sits beneath the surrounding hills, offering miles of golden sand to wander along while watching surfers in action.

Why not try the Croyde to Baggy Point Circular Walk – you can scramble up the stegosaurus’ back of Morte Point’s wild headland, and if you’re really lucky you might spot seals basking in small coves below.
