We’re staying again in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales at the comfortable Dalesbridge campsite – near Austwick, Settle.
Walkers have plenty of options from easy to highly challenging (the three peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent are a popular challenge).
The limestone climbing in the Yorkshire Dales is increasingly associated with newly-developed mid-grade crags such as Robin Proctor’s Scar whilst for the traditionalists the gritstone formations at Brimham Rocks await as ever.
Other activities include mountain biking (both XC and the purpose built trails of Gisburn Forest) and visiting Yorkshire’s renowned pubs and villages.
