A charismatic and off-grid club hut owned by Solihul Mountaineering Club. Bottled gas and a wind turbine for cooking heating and lights. A short walk to the Red Lion pub.

This part of Wales at the southern end of Snowdonia offers great walking / mountaineering (in the remote Rhinogs & Cadair Idris) and a wealth of mountain biking options notably Coed-y-Brenin and the Mach trails at Machynlleth.

Access:

• Park on the common close to the bridge. (Lat Long: 52.721304, -3.688852 https://goo.gl/maps/kp2mbKsQ3dD2)
• Cross this bridge and turn left towards the caravan site entrance. Before entering the campsite, turn right up the public footpath.
• Go through the gate and continue to follow the public footpath above the campsite
• Turn right up the path to a wooden gate onto a track
• Turn right along the track passing through a mteal gate immediately after joining the track.
• Continue along the track until you see the cottage in a field to your right
• Access can be gained via the gate just before the stream which runs over the track
• A key safe is located in the wood store on the back of the building and the combination is sent to groups once payment has been received.
