Join us in the delightful Little Langdale for our first meet of 2023, where we’ll be staying in the Fylde Hut (Little Langdale Cottage) as a base to explore the local area.

Fingers crossed for good conditions, allowing us to get out the crampons and axes …but whatever the weather, the Lake District never disappoints!

As a Winter Meet, you must be experienced at Hill Walking at the very least and have the appropriate gear for your activity. We have a list of non-exhaustive winter gear items here. We are happy to try to help you find decently priced gear or ask members if they have any extras.

While our club members are very friendly and love taking newbies out, please be aware that the Committee are in full support of members refusing to take someone out with them if they don’t feel comfortable to do so. Usually this will be because the individual may not have the appropriate gear or experience and most members are not rescue or medical personnel or mountaineering guides. Please enjoy the mountains safely!
