In February we return to the wilds of Snowdonia where we’ll be staying in the Ogwen Valley Bunkhouse, an ideal location for exploring the valley and its iconic surrounding mountains.

Welsh Winter can be a fickle beast, but Welsh Mountains are an endless delight!

As a Winter Meet, you must be experienced at Hill Walking at the very least and have the appropriate gear for your activity. We have a list of non-exhaustive winter gear items here. We are happy to try to help you find decently priced gear or ask members if they have any extras.

While our club members are very friendly and love taking newbies out, please be aware that the Committee are in full support of members refusing to take someone out with them if they don’t feel comfortable to do so. Usually this will be because the individual may not have the appropriate gear or experience and most members are not rescue or medical personnel or mountaineering guides. Please enjoy the mountains safely!
