Winter Hiking/Climbing Talk and Social 2018

Join us on Sunday 7th October from 6 pm for our winter hiking and climbing talks.

We have a private room booked upstairs at the Lemon Tree Pub:
4 Bedfordbury, Covent Garden, London WC2N 4BP, Some of us will have dinner together before the talk, do join us.
David Dees, our host for the evening, will take us through the ins and out of winter walking, mountaineering and climbing. He will show us a few of his tools and a few pictures, wink, wink! You’ll find out the minimum gear needed to come winter Hiking in the mountains.
Chris and Joe will also be there and you could ask them some questions about their recent trip to Bolivia. Food for thought!
After the formal bit, those interested in winter climbing and who have already been on a course and/or have prior experience will sit together to plan a trip for early 2019.
Meanwhile Cath Billson, our Treasurer and very experienced winter mountaineer, will be happy to chat with hikers who are interested in our winter meets in the Lake District (Jan) and Brecon Beacons (Feb).
