North Wales

July 12 @ 5:00 pm - July 14 @ 5:00 pm

The club is heading to North Wales for our July meet!

It’s a fabulous climbing area, with everything one might desire from sea cliffs to mountains, from single pitch to multi pitch and from sport to trad. There’s even bouldering (and other sports) if you are that way inclined.

Snowdonia also boasts absolute top quality mountain landscapes if hill walking or scrambling are more your cup of tea. So there is literally, something for everyone… so sign up now!

To our Prospective Members – this is a great weekend for our beginner tradsters to potentially get their seconding skills oiled up with those who want to lead. Come along! If you’re not feeling too confident you can take this opportunity to ask members on tips and reminders at the campsite and maybe on a climb if you are joining them.

If we haven’t met you yet, we’ll do our best to meet you before the weekend to check some safety basics including belaying. Please get into contact with us asap, well in advance of the meet. The committee and members volunteer their time and will struggle to accommodate last minute requests.

If we (including the members) don’t feel you have sufficient skills to be a safe seconder, you may be requested to join the walking group(s) if the climbing leaders do not feel comfortable to take you out. This is a decision we will support – most people in the club climb for fun and are not professional guides.

The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.
